Works on paper @ artmatters

Paul Chisholm is a contemporary British artist and he is pleased to present a body of drawings

created whilst on residency at Art Matters in Redhill, England. This body of drawings is a

continuation of his ‘The Lost Children of Paradise’ series which takes these feelings of a

contradictory and disconcerting experience of the human condition to new heights exploring the

World in the way we portray ourselves and the ways in which we mask our emotions.

Created using chalk, oil and charcoal on paper this is a new medium being explored in the artists practice.

Hung in a salon style the exhibition reflects the relentless and continuing search for the perfect mask

which reflects not only the artist’s struggles with mental health but also the pain in society he sees

around him.
